The PET Scan was clear!!!!!! Sadly I was counting chickens before they hatched yesterday and discovered I still have one more PET in a year. Rather than dwelling on that though I'm choosing to do a happy dance about the PET results.
I started this blog in 2009, after I had been diagnosed with a rare cancer, to keep family and friends informed of my progress. After finishing treatment and being diagnosed cured I didn't know what to do with this space, I did know I wasn't going to just delete it. So follow me now as I find my voice.

It's That Time of Year!
It is that time of year again where the doctor appointments begin to pile up as I get ready for all my annual check-ups. Though this year is a little more that just follow-ups. Last week I had what will hopefully be a final PET Scan and tomorrow I find out the results. Though both my Oncologist and my Radiation Oncologist have said I am theoretically cured tomorrow is the five year scan. With Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma three years is the bench mark for a cure rather than five with most cancers; or so I've been told. Tomorrow will be the official "You're Cured!" As of tomorrow I will (fingers crossed) be a official survivor!
I will follow-up with you all tomorrow...
