National Cancer Survivor's Day!

So I'm a couple days late with this but HAPPY NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVOR'S DAY!

Today I celebrated by working out, taking Baby Chang to the pool and eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream.  Today was a day like most other summer days in our house.  Which in my opinion is the best way to celebrate being a survivor.

Though I'm not cured officially I am close.  Yet, cancer is a part of my daily life.  It is why I am trying to workout more and eat healthier everyday.  It is why I blow my nose more than the average person.  It is why when Baby Chang sees me changing clothes she points out my second belly button.  It is why whenever I hear of someone being diagnosed a part of my heart breaks for them.

So on National Cancer Survivor's Day I will be grateful for all of those things.  I will be grateful that I got to celebrate Baby Chang's 5th Birthday and plan to see many more.  I will be grateful that I was here to see Prairie Dad make his debut at two Houston theaters.  I will be grateful that in two weeks I will be vacationing with my family in North Carolina.  I will be grateful that I don't know where I want to be in five years but I actually get to figure it out.

So to all of the SURVIVORS be grateful and celebrate the best way you know how!  Perhaps I will have a second bowl of ice cream...
